Long Bay Playscape
This playspace provides a high level of prestige for the Council with an official Mayoral opening with Variety – the children’s charity.
Significantly the project was part funded by Variety due to the playgrounds high level of accessibility within an integrated playspace.
The design offers high play value, balanced challenge and risk with creative use of non-standard items such as the nature trail with a range of music play accessible to all, in ground trampolines and natural accessible play elements.
The playspace fits seamlessly into the coastal environment, connects to adjacent park amenities and the pedestrian network with art sculptures.
