Manukau Memorial Gardens Cemetery
LA Works provided full landscape architectural services on the 43 hectare extension to the cemetery.
Careful consideration was given to visitor movement, aesthetics, differing cultural burial requirements and maximization of yield for the $3m project.
A couple of the highlights were the revitalization and incorporation of a polluted stormwater retention pond and the creation of honed concrete ash urn walls that are now being used in other Council cemeteries.
