Waitakere Civic Centre
The design for the Civic Buildings and mixed use commercial development of Waitakere Central created a series of imaginative, interlinked, vibrant and meaningful public open spaces for Henderson.
The area included a traditional Japanese viewing garden including a timber pergola, a series of waterfalls, lighting, ornamental tree and shrub planting, substantial natural stone terracing, a range of paving materials, public art, lighting, signage, street furniture and provision for a street market and a raised lawn.
Bridget Gilbert Landscape Architecture led the design and LA Works provided full detailed design documentation as part of our ongoing collaboration.
